Quick Update and Preview

The game is still being worked on.
I've always been intrigued by the idea of sharing development progress. However, I find it quite boring when its all text posts, which is why there's barely any updates. I'm interested in sharing gifs and videos, but unfortunately I'm not very good at making them...
With that said, it's already been quite a while since I've posted anything about Donkathon, so I'd like to make a quick update for anyone that comes across this.
In the next update, a new stage (and of course, its boss) will be featured. This time, I've opted to make a boss with slightly more synergistic skills. One of its signature attacks trigger reactively, and can even chain into each other to take advantage of player mistakes! It's nothing crazy, but hopefully it'll feel a little more engaging for people.

Next, we have a few new items coming, and many more planned. I've always wanted the items in this game to have some synergy with each other, but are loose enough in functionality to be independent. Hopefully, the next batch of items will open up new playstyles, and help some of those weaker, previous ones.
Here's a few of them. Nothing is finalized, but can you guess what they do?
Besides these, I've also been working on ways to optimize the game further. In the future update, you might notice some improvements here and there...
